Swahili House is located in Stonetown on Zanzibar island off the coast of Tanzania.
Set in a substantial 1880’s merchant’s house in the heart of the old town, this high-quality hotel has 22 traditionally furnished rooms in three different specifications set over four floors and topped by a very nice rooftop with possibly the best bar and restaurant in the town.
Staying in the heart of this crazy town is not for the faint-hearted, but whereas the nearby 236 Hurumzi can sometimes continue the craziness inside, Swahili House does offer a little bit more insulation from the hubbub of the streets, even if the architecture and decor are not quite to the same levels.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.
