Zanzibar Serena Inn is located in Stonetown on Zanzibar island off the coast of Tanzania.
Created back in 2002 by the creative conversion of a number of older buildings in this prime location at the tip of the Shangani Peninsular, this hotel is surprisingly discreet for a facility of its size.
In contrast to the crazy hubbub of most of the old town, the hotel is set on a quiet shady square and once inside provides an oasis of calm.
The eighty-odd rooms vary from small and rather ordinary to expansive sea view suites. The bar and restaurant are pleasant enough, whilst the central pool area is the best around.
Although not particularly high-end by conventional measures, Zanzibar Serena Inn is by far the easiest place to stay in what is a rather challenging environment for a lot of visitors. Prices are relatively high, but worth it if you really want to experience this fantastic town, but not necessarily expose yourself to the full 24-7 experience!
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.
