Saadani River Lodge is located in Saadani national park on the northern coast of Tanzania.
Situated on the banks of the Wami river 2km from the ocean, this relatively large and luxurious lodge has chic public areas leading out onto a lovely pool over the river, with 15 very comfortable guest rooms.
A wide range of activities includes gentle vehicle safari, walking safari, motorboat safari on the river, ocean sailing and snorkelling trips, visits to local villages, mountain biking and microlight safari. Spa treatments and yoga are also available.
Saadani River Lodge is under the same ownership and is intended to be visited in combination with nearby Saadani Lodge. In reality, it is difficult enough to convince people to come to just one lodge in Saadani, so this seems a little optimistic.
Personally we would rather stay at the latter since it does a better job of offering the safari and beach combination for which the area is best known.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.
